Position Description Santam’s Claims department has a position available for a Claims Service Consultant(Non Motor) based in Constantia Office Park, Roodepoort. The Claims Service Consultant (CSC) for Field Assessment claims is accountable for the claims end to end and is responsible for coordinating and overseeing all actions on claims in this processing channel.Key Responsibilities Ensure that the assessor’s settlement instruction is processed and expedited. Accountable for all claim interactions directly with the client/broker. Responsible for the execution on the settlement decision from the field assessor by finalizing the settlement with the insured/broker after the assessor have confirmed the outcome of the merit and quantum. Responsible to get all the information pertaining to the claim in order for the field assessor to complete the quantum and the merit. The Claims Service Consultant is responsible for communicating with the client/broker from beginning to end and is the one contact person for the client/broker Ensures that the claim is handled efficiently. Effectively maintains oversight of all relevant claims tasks and manages the claims handling process to achieve timely settlement and to minimise leakage Identifies, investigates and resolves any issues relating to claims being handled in line with Santam policies and procedures such as Service Level Agreements, Standard Operating Procedures. Ensures that the claim is handled efficiently and identify and advise the intermediary/policyholder of the prescribed or most appropriate mechanism for resolving claims settlement disputes. Communicate the process from the start of the claim and act as contact person if the client needs more information. Minimum Requirements QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Matric Certificate 2-3 years’ claims experience Insurance related qualification (NQF Level 4 and up) Must have experience dealing with high net-worth individuals SKILLS Personal Lines – all policy sections (including buildings) Good communication skills, both verbal and written Must be able to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines Must be able to cope in a pressurised environment Must display a good understanding of Short Term insurance principles Must be able to work with little or no supervision Must demonstrate assertiveness Competencies Client Service Orientation Detail Orientated Analytical Thinking Information Seeking Drive for Results Organisational commitment Teamwork and Co-operation APPLY ONLINE
