City of Johannesburg Is Hiring Youth Through the EPWP Jozi Ihlomile Programme
The City of Johannesburg Health Department has announced new Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) Jozi Ihlomile opportunities for unemployed youth across various wards in Johannesburg
Applications are now open for the following positions:
- EPWP Jozi Ihlomile Educators
- EPWP Jozi Ihlomile Site Coordinators
- EPWP Jozi Ihlomile Data Coordinators
These are short-term contract positions of up to 12 months aimed at empowering young people while supporting health education and community outreach programmes across Johannesburg.
Available Positions
1. EPWP Jozi Ihlomile Educators
Monthly Stipend: R4,000
Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Age between 18 and 35 years
- Good communication skills
- Basic computer and smartphone skills
- Knowledge of HIV/AIDS, TB, STIs, substance abuse and social issues
- Must reside in the ward where applying
- Affidavit confirming no criminal record
- Proof of residence from Ward Councillor or affidavit
Main Duties
- Conduct door-to-door health awareness campaigns
- Educate communities on HIV/AIDS, TB and other health issues
- Refer community members to health and social services
- Submit activity reports and records
2. EPWP Jozi Ihlomile Site Coordinators
Monthly Stipend: R4,300
Requirements:
COMPLETE JOB APPLICATION
- Grade 12
- Age between 18 and 35 years
- Minimum 1 year relevant experience in HIV/AIDS Door-to-Door Education
- Good reporting and communication skills
- Must reside in the ward where applying
- Affidavit confirming no criminal record
Main Duties
- Coordinate field educators
- Monitor programme implementation
- Compile reports
- Support community health education activities
3. EPWP Jozi Ihlomile Data Coordinators
