SABC is seeking a highly motivated and experienced HR Governance, Risk and Compliance Specialist to support governance frameworks, compliance systems, processes, and operational excellence within the Human Resources department.
This role plays a critical part in ensuring HR processes align with legislative requirements, internal governance standards, and enterprise practices.
Key Responsibilities
HR Governance & Compliance
Implement HR governance policies and compliance frameworks
Monitor HR compliance with legislation and company standards
Conduct compliance reviews and risk assessments
Maintain compliance checklists and risk registers
Support audit preparation and corrective action implementation
Risk Management
Identify HR operational risks and governance gaps
Strengthen internal controls and risk mitigation systems
Collaborate with assurance providers and internal audit teams
Develop compliance monitoring tools and dashboards
HR Operations & Service Delivery
Support Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
Improve HR operational efficiency and governance practices
Assist HR Business Partners with governance-related guidance
Ensure consistent compliance across HR processes
Project & Process Management
Support governance-related HR projects
Track deliverables, risks, and implementation timelines
Assist with process improvements and standardisation initiatives
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
Applicants should possess a:
National Diploma (NQF 6) and/or Degree (NQF 7) in:
Human Resources
Governance, Risk and Compliance
Internal Audit
Risk Management or related fields
Experience
3–5 years’ experience in HR Governance, Risk & Compliance
Experience with HR audits and risk assessments
Exposure to HR systems and process improvement
Knowledge of governance and compliance legislation
Skills & Competencies
Strong analytical and auditing skills
Excellent report writing and communication abilities
Knowledge of Enterprise Risk Management principles
Good project coordination and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
