Submit an application for voter registration or update your registration information
For any election, the last day to register to vote or update your voter registration is before the proclamation day prior to the election.
To submit an application to register to vote, you must meet the following requirements
You must:
- be a South Africa citizen;
- be at least 16 years (you can only vote from age 18).

In addition to the requirements listed above, you must have a valid green, bar-coded ID book or smartcard ID to submit the Online Voter Registration Application.
