Job description

We are looking for a Butchery
Counterhand to join our team! In this role, you’ll serve customers at the butchery counter, prepare and display meat cuts, manage stock levels, and keep the counter clean and organized. Key tasks include handling payments, maintaining accurate pricing, and following food safety guidelines. You’ll also work closely with the team to provide friendly and efficient service and share customer feedback to help improve our offerings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What you’ll do
This is a list of tasks that you will be responsible for doing on your days at work.
\ufeff\ufeffHelp prepare and cut different types of meat, such as trimming, portioning, and packaging, based on what customers want.\u2028Greet customers with a smile, answer their questions, and help them choose the right meat\u2028Arrange and display meat cuts neatly and in a way that looks fresh and appealing.
\ufeff\ufeffCheck stock levels for meat and supplies, and let the manager know if anything is running low.
\ufeff\ufeffKeep the work area clean by throwing out waste and keeping things tidy.
\ufeff\ufeffUpdate prices when needed and make sure all items have the correct price tags.
\ufeff\ufeffKeep the counter clean and follow all food safety rules to make sure everything is safe and hygienic.\u2028Handle payments (cash or card) accurately and make sure all transactions go smoothly.\u2028Work with the team to get orders ready quickly, especially during busy times.\u2028Make sure all meat products are good quality, and tell your supervisor if there are any issues.
Restock items like bags and wrapping paper throughout the day as needed.
Cooperate with coworkers to keep things running smoothly and provide a good experience for customers.
Follow all health and safety rules, especially when handling, cutting, and storing meat to avoid contamination.
\ufeff\ufeffStore meat carefully to avoid cross-contamination, keeping raw and cooked products separate and following safety rules.
\ufeff\ufeffListen to customer feedback and share it with your manager to help us improve our service and products.
