\nReports to: Test & Power Electronics (T&PE), Area Manager
\nJob Type: NPE
\nLevel of Experience: S4\/National Diploma<\/p>\n

Position Summary:
\nThe successful candidate(s) will complement the T&PE team as they get their on-the-job experiential learning (P1 & P2). The individual(s) will be working under the supervision of senior technicians within the T&PE team.<\/p>\n

Required outputs: Functional
\nWillingness to learn, apply and challenge oneself.
\nTesting of overloads, protection relays and electrical equipment
\nContinuously learn and research new technology and testing principles
\nDo plant electrical infrastructure inspections and draft reports
\nReport all unsafe conditions to line management and supervision
\nComply to all OSH ACT requirements
\nPractise good housekeeping
\nConduct visual inspections on the process and equipment
\nReport process deviations to Group leader
\nCommunicate and assist team members in controlling the process
\nFault finding
\nManage emergencies
\nAssist in incident investigation. Sequence of events capturing during incident<\/p>\n

Job Requirements:
\nCompleted S4 electrical subjects (Must)
\nSafety consciousness (Must)
\nElectrical Power Engineering knowledge (Must)
\nNational Diploma Qualification (Wish)
\nPrevious electrical work experience (Wish)
\nSound understanding of electrical protection principles and testing (strong wish)<\/p>\n

Specific experience required
\nMust have completed all S4 subjects.
\nSound understanding of electrical engineering subjects (i.e. Power Electronics, Machines and Electrical Protection etc.)
\nAdhere to all safety rules, regulations and work standards
\nPractice good housekeeping
\nComply with all legal requirements
\nAbility to work independently and interdependently
\nTeam player<\/p>\n
