NOTE<\/strong>: A practical test will form part of the interview and selection process.<\/p>\n Position summary:<\/strong><\/p>\n General and pressure equipment boiler making maintenance and fabrication in the Retube workshop to enable production units to reach production targets.<\/p>\n Functional outputs:<\/strong> Job requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n ALL requirements a MUST unless stated otherwise.<\/p>\n Qualifications required:<\/strong> Job specific experience required:<\/strong> General:<\/strong>
\nInspection and general fault finding on trade related tools, machinery and workshop equipment.
\nMaintenance and fabrication of mechanical and pressure equipment.
\nManipulate, develop and orientate plate, pipe and other forms of materials to fabricate mechanical and pressure equipment.
\nComply with safety standards and codes.
\nIdentify unsafe acts and conditions and bring it to the attention of management.
\nProvide on the job training and coaching to team members.<\/p>\n
\nMatric \/ Grade 12 with math and science or N3 with math, science and business english.
\nTrade certificate (Formal apprentice ship).
\nTrade test as boilermaker.
\nCode 08 \/ EB driver\u2019s license.<\/p>\n
\n5-6 years working experience as a qualified boilermaker after trade test.
\nPetrochemical plant and equipment. (Wish)
\nPressure vessel fabrication will be an advantage. (Wish)
\nMaintenance \/ refurbishing \/ fabrication of pressure equipment.
\nAbility to read, interpret, compile a bill of material and fabricate from engineering drawings.
\nAbility to optimize material usage.
\nWorking experience on heavy boiler making workshop tools and machinery.<\/p>\n
\nKnowledge of types and grades of materials.
\nFirst line inspection of own work before supervisor and QC inspections.
\nDeliver high quality work and maintain high productivity.
\nAttention to detail.
\nOverhead crane license. (Wish)
\nBasic rigging up to 5 ton. (Wish)
\nCommitment and dedication to work.
\nWilling to train and develop self and the team.
\nWorking on a two week shift roster.
\nWilling to work overtime as and when required.
\nPerform stand-by duties.
\nKnowledge of ISO 3834 \/ PER \/ SANS 347
\nBe safety conscious and orientated for self and the team.
\nMaintain good housekeeping principals.<\/p>\n
