This includes first-time Unisa applicants, Unisa students changing to a new qualification, and applicants who previously applied for admission and were either not offered a space or were offered a space and did not register.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"page-header\">2026\/27 application for admission<\/h3>\n<p>Everyone wanting to start a new qualification must apply for admission<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Undergraduate qualifications<\/b>\u00a0<span class=\"small\">(higher certificates, advanced certificates, diplomas, advanced diplomas, PGCE, BTech &amp; degrees)<\/span>:\u00a0<\/li>\n<li><b>Honours degrees &amp; postgraduate diplomas:<\/b><br \/><br \/><\/li>\n<li><b>Master\u2019s &amp; doctoral degrees:<\/b><br \/>\u00a0(<a href=\"http:\/\/www.unisa.ac.za\/sites\/corporate\/default\/Apply-for-admission\/Master%27s-&amp;-doctoral-degrees\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">some exceptions apply<\/a>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>The application process<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>You may apply for a\u00a0<strong>maximum of two qualifications<\/strong>, ranked in order of preference (although you may only register for one should both of your qualifications be successful).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Unisa will inform you of the outcome of your application<\/strong>. If successful, Unisa will indicate for which qualification you have been accepted and will offer you a space for the period for which you have applied (ie either semester 1 or semester 2).<\/li>\n<li>You must\u00a0<strong>accept or decline Unisa\u2019s offer<\/strong>\u00a0within the prescribed period of time.<\/li>\n<li>If you accept Unisa\u2019s offer, you must\u00a0<strong>register for the period for which you have been granted admission\u00a0<\/strong>(ie semester 1 or semester 2). Should you not register for the relevant semester of study, you will need to re-apply for admission during the next application period.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Who must apply?<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Everyone wanting to start a new qualification must apply for admission. This includes first-time Unisa applicants and Unisa students changing to a new qualification.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Everyone completing a Higher Certificate or Alternative Pathway \/ Extended Programme must apply for admission to the follow-on qualification.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>You must re-apply for admission if you previously applied for admission and received feedback, but did not register for any reason.<\/li>\n<li>Everyone planning to enrol for classes at a\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.unisa.ac.za\/tvet\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) college<\/a>\u00a0under the Unisa-TVET agreement must apply for admission.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Please note:<\/strong>\u00a0You must re-apply for admission if you previously applied for admission and were offered a space, but did not accept the offer and \/ or did not register for any reason.<\/p>\n<p><strong><br \/>All applications for admission must be submitted online during the prescribed application period.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applicants who plan to enrol for classes at a<a href=\"https:\/\/www.unisa.ac.za\/sites\/corporate\/default\/Apply-for-admission\/TVET-colleges\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00a0Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) college<\/a>\u00a0under the Unisa-TVET agree ment may apply via the relevant TVET college or at Unisa via the online or self-help options.<\/p>\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Unisa will accept applications for admission to\u00a0undergraduate qualifications (higher certificates, advanced certificates, diplomas, advanced diplomas, PGCE, BTech &amp;
