OFFICER REPRESENTED CLAIMS: T.A.S.K GRADE 10"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>To provide claims handling which ensures prompt and fair settlement and finalization of claims by applying the relevant legal and third party principles.<\/p>\n<p>Key Performance Areas<\/p>\n<p>To regularly estimate and update value of loss.<br \/>\nTo acquire expert advice from medical experts, assessors and actuaries.<br \/>\nPursue, analyze and interpret medico legal reports, actuarial reports, Advocate opinions.<br \/>\nTo prepare a strategic assessment in conjunction with and based on the expert advice and make decisions regarding the seriousness of the injury.<br \/>\nTo assess injuries based on the expert advice and quantify benefits.<br \/>\nCollate all relevant information to formulate an offer of settlement.<br \/>\nQuantification of claims settlement offers in accordance with mandate as soon as reasonably possible to reduce the turnaround times of claims.<br \/>\nLiaise and collaborate with various Government Departments such as Compensation Commissioner and SASSA.<br \/>\nTo evaluate interim payment request.<br \/>\nLitigation management, instructing and liaising with attorneys and advocates.<br \/>\nTo prepare executive summaries and for matters exceeding R900 000.<br \/>\nReduce open file count.<br \/>\nInformal mentoring and training with new handler and assistants.<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications &#038; Experience<br \/>\nNQF 7(Bachelor&#8217;s Degree or Advanced Diploma) qualification.<br \/>\nRelevant 3 years working experience in claims environment.<\/p>\n<p>Technical and Behavioral Competencies Required<br \/>\nComputer Literacy.<br \/>\nGood communication skills.<br \/>\nSound decision making abilities.<br \/>\nAssertiveness.<br \/>\nPersonal Mastery.<br \/>\nEmotional Wisdom<br \/>\nEthics and governance<br \/>\nCustomer orientation and customer focus<br \/>\nEffective negotiation skills<br \/>\nThorough knowledge of the claims operating system.<br \/>\nAbility to meet deadlines under pressure.<br \/>\nProactive team player.<br \/>\nTime and Office Management Which includes maintaining a constant workflow on all matters.<br \/>\nAdministration skills which includes telephonic enquiries, emails, post and responding within a 3 day time frame<br \/>\nAdvance knowledge of Motor Vehicle Accident legislation.<br \/>\nDrafting and understanding undertaking procedures.<br \/>\nKnowledge of all legislation which pertains to the RAF procedures such RAF Act and all amendments, Contingency Fees Act, PAIA, Assessment of damages Act, PFMA.<br \/>\nSubstantial medical knowledge of the human anatomy and the effects that injuries have on claimants.<br \/>\nAbility to meet and exceed monthly targets on a continuous basis as required by management.<br \/>\nEnsuring all registers are updated such as breach reports, judgement monitoring as well as any others prescribed by management.<br \/>\nSound mathematical skills.<br \/>\nKnowledge of actuarial calculations and the ability to interpret and apply actuarial assumptions.<br \/>\nOrganisational Awareness.<\/p>\n<p>Remuneration<\/p>\n<p>At the cost to company of minimum package applicable to this position is R349 998. 00 per annum and will be negotiable commensurate with experience.<\/p>\n<p>Closing date: 25 September 2018<\/p>\n<p>NB:
