To operate Water Plant and carry out all Plant processes for Acacia in Umbogintwini. Acacia Operations Services (Pty) Limited is a wholly-owned subsidiary of AECI, focused on providing a wide range of utilities and services to the Umbogintwini Industrial Complex.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Duties &amp; Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Comply by regulations R813 regulations relating to Compulsory National Standards or Process Controllers. \u2022 Check reservoir levels and adjust pumping requirements to maintain reservoirs at maximum capacity by starting and stopping hi-lift pumps. \u2022 Checks pH value and chlorination level of water in the plant, checks turpidity level in the clear water wells for back wash purposes. \u2022 Reads and records flow on water meters on No.1 pumping main and Metro supply chain. \u2022 Responsible for maintaining the housekeeping of plant and buildings. \u2022 Checks flocculent and lime pumps dosing visually and on computer system. \u2022 Checks the operation of instruments e.g. pH meters, chlorinators, dosing pumps regularly and reports malfunction to Supervision. \u2022 Adjusts the flow rate of incoming water to suit the prevailing plant requirements. \u2022 Adherence to Safety, Health and Environment Policies and Procedures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Qualifications &amp; Experience<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Matric \/ Grade 12. \u2022 NQF Level Three Process Controller with Class 2 as per Regulation R813 regulations relating to Compulsory National Standards for Process Controllers. \u2022 NQF Level Three Process Controller training for Blue Drop &amp; Green Drop. \u2022 Minimum 2 years\u2019 experience. \u2022 Required to have NQF Level 3 Process Controller Certificate. \u2022 Have knowledge and experience of having worked on Waterworks Purification plants, as well as having on Sewage Treatment plants. \u2022 Ability to work shifts. \u2022 Basic computer literacy. \u2022 Must be able to work alone and unsupervised on shift. \u2022 Must be physically fit and able to manipulate control valves and other plant equipment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Competencies<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Strong Safety focus. \u2022 Planning and organizing. \u2022 Initiative. \u2022 Good communication skills. \u2022 Attention to detail. \u2022 Team Work. \u2022 Safety awareness. \u2022 Alertness.AECI&nbsp;&#8211; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.indeed.co.za\/m\/vaclk?h=473b6791&amp;jk=0e0bb78f6c5ce742&amp;clk=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.indeed.co.za%2Frc%2Fclk%3Fjk%3D0e0bb78f6c5ce742%26atk%3D&amp;atk=1du99vjl3nkq8800&amp;mobtk=1du99vjl1nkq8800&amp;mobvjtk=1du99vntl2umj000\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Apply Now<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Job Description Acacia is looking to recruit a Water Plant Process Controller to work in Umbogintwini.
