Responsible for a team of 3 Permanent Drivers and 9 Freelance Drivers. Main Obective is to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Co-ordinate the Company&#8217;s transport requirements, including booking and scheduling of drivers and out-sourced vehicles<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate cost effective management of all company vehicle maintenance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"job-tasks\">\n<p><strong><u>Requirements:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Matric<\/li>\n<li>Drivers licence and own vehicle<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>Skills:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent management, communication and organisational skills<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of traffic legislation and regulations and road safety<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of the transport industry<\/li>\n<li>Logistics skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>Basic Knowledge:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>MS Office proficient<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of the standard practices, methods, tools and equipment for the vehicles.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"job-requim\">\n<p><strong><u>Responsibilities:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><u>Transport Requests<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Receive and facilitate written\/verbal requests regarding equipment or personnel transportation for the Johannesburg branch.<\/li>\n<li>Receive and facilitate job cards detailing transport requirements per confirmed job.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>Scheduling and Bookings<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Attend Operations meetings to finalise logistics of upcoming jobs with all Operations personnel.<\/li>\n<li>Plan and schedule drivers and vehicles for all confirmed transport jobs in conjunction with Operations Administrators.<\/li>\n<li>Book freelance drivers where necessary, to fulfil all commitments in conjunction with Operations Administrators.<\/li>\n<li>Allocate specific drivers and vehicles to relevant jobs in conjunction with Operations Administrators.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>Administration and Operations<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fill out comprehensive Trip sheets per vehicle, using written\/verbal requests.<\/li>\n<li>Reconcile Vehicle Release Forms with Transport Trip Sheets.<\/li>\n<li>Verify Driver&#8217;s Weekly Timesheets.<\/li>\n<li>Transport Directors and Senior Staff to and from the airport, when necessary.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that drivers have clear directions and\/or a map before travelling to a new location.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor drivers\u2019 adherence to the SA traffic regulations and legislation.<\/li>\n<li>Check that the drivers are aware of scheduling and call-times and report for work timeously.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that all drivers are conversant and up-to-date with the appropriate Traffic Acts and regulations by communicating relevant information.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>Vehicle Servicing<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Arrange for the Company\u2019s vehicles to be serviced and maintained as needed.<\/li>\n<li>Obtain Certificate of Fitness for all vehicles.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with Licensing of all Company vehicles at the traffic department.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that all drivers have current and correct licenses (PDP).<\/li>\n<li>Sort out breakdowns and towing of the Company\u2019s vehicles in Johannesburg.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that the vehicles being used are in roadworthy condition.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that all Vehicle Check sheets are completed daily by drivers, compiled weekly and book services accordingly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>Accidents\/Thefts \/Hijackings<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist with all necessary paperwork associated with accidents, vehicle theft or hijackings.<\/li>\n<li>Arrange towing and repair services for vehicles belonging to the Johannesburg branch.<\/li>\n<li>Organise any peripheral requirements\/documentation arising from the incident.<\/li>\n<li>Communicate the appropriate procedures to follow in the event of an accident to all drivers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>Personnel<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist drivers, offering guidance and support, improving work performance and resolving any conflicts arising within the division.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that transport personnel adhere to the rules and regulations and policies and procedures of the Company.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>General<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Handle any unforeseen transport problems\/requirements on a 24hour basis as per the duty roster.<\/li>\n<li>Be on standby in the event of any urgent requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Assist management with any other duties as may be required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div
