Are you confident to engage and communicate with our customers? We have an exciting opportunity in a Clicks\u2019 store for a Shop Assistant \/ Cashier who will report to the Store Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to start a career in retail.<\/p>\n<h2>Purpose and Objectives<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Job purpose:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To deliver service excellence through efficient customer service, point of sale (POS) operational activities and merchandising in store that leads to a positive customer experience.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Job objectives:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To efficiently execute all operational activities at the point of sale in a timely and efficient manner.<\/li>\n<li>To maintain high levels of accuracy when scanning merchandise and collecting payment for goods purchased, including actioning clubcard rewards.<\/li>\n<li>To ensure the safe handling of cash at all times.<\/li>\n<li>To proactively promote the Clicks\u2019 clubcard and to enroll new clubcard members in order to achieve the clubcard participation targets.<\/li>\n<li>To make customers aware of promotions in order to positively affect sales and to ensure customers \u201cfeel good and pay less\u201d.<\/li>\n<li>To deliver superior customer service by acting as a brand ambassador, being visible and offering a friendly and professional service.<\/li>\n<li>To efficiently execute and maintain all merchandising and general housekeeping duties according to store and visual merchandise standards.<\/li>\n<li>To ensure continuity of excellent service by focusing on own development and product knowledge and sharing product information with relief staff<\/li>\n<li>To support the Group\u2019s vision to be the customer\u2019s first choice health and beauty retailer by living and driving the company values.<\/li>\n<li>To maintain updated knowledge on products, ranges, promotions and events in order to provide the correct information to customers at all times.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Requirements<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Qualifications and Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Essential: Grade 12<\/li>\n<li>Desirable:\u00a0Maths 50% and English 50% at Grade 12 level<\/li>\n<li>Desirable: Relevant Retail\/Business Management qualification<\/li>\n<li>Desirable: experience in a customer facing role within a retail\/FMCG store operations environment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skills, Abilities and Job Related Knowledge:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Basic math\u2019s calculations<\/li>\n<li>Retail\/FMCG background and understanding of merchandising and promotions principles<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of stock management procedures<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of customer service excellence<\/li>\n<li>Planning and organising skills<\/li>\n<li>Problem-solving skills<\/li>\n<li>Strong customer orientation<\/li>\n<li>Good communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Computer
