physically capable to be able to operate under<br \/>\noperational requirements and external conditions; have the capacity to operate<br \/>\nunder extreme stressful and often traumatic conditions.<br \/>\nPrimary functions: Combating and extinguishing of fire by:<br \/>\na) Responding to all fire incidents as requested.<br \/>\nb) Evaluation of the scene on arrival<br \/>\nc) Suppressing and combating all types of fires by means of water, foam, gas or<br \/>\ndry powder.<br \/>\nd) Prevent re-ignition by doing damping down.<br \/>\ne) Prevent damage by doing salvaging<br \/>\nf) Prevent smoke damage by doing ventilation.<br \/>\ng) Prevent loss of life by doing search and rescue.<br \/>\nh) Execution of tasks according to the set SOP\u2019s and SOG\u2019s<br \/>\nRendering of a rescue services by:<br \/>\na) Responding to all motor vehicle and pedestrian accidents as requested<br \/>\nb) Evaluation of the scene on arrival<br \/>\nc) Ensure scene safety of all incidents<br \/>\nd) Stabilizing the vehicle and patient before extrication<br \/>\n(Positions for JF11\/2017) http:\/\/www.tshwane.gov.za\/sites\/Departments\/Corporate-and-Shared-Services\/Pages\/Job-Forum.aspx<br \/>\ne) Extrication of patients from vehicles with all the means at the fire fighters<br \/>\ndisposal.<br \/>\nf) Execution of tasks according to the set SOP\u2019s and SOG\u2019s<br \/>\nHandling of Hazardous Material Incidents by:<br \/>\na) Responding to Hazardous materials incidents as requested<br \/>\nb) Evaluation of the scene on arrival.<br \/>\nc) Identification of Hazardous materials.<br \/>\nd) Rescue of patients when necessary.<br \/>\ne) Evacuation of area if necessary<br \/>\nf) Confinement and containment of hazardous materials.<br \/>\ng) Ensure scene safety of all incidents<br \/>\nh) Execution of tasks according to the set SOP\u2019s and SOG\u2019s<br \/>\nRendering of Special and Humanitarian Services by:<br \/>\na) Responding to special service incidents as requested.<br \/>\nb) Evaluating the scene<br \/>\nc) Execute tasks and activities as required<br \/>\nd) Ensure scene safety of all incidents<br \/>\ne) Execution of tasks according to the prescribed SOP\u2019s and SOG\u2019s<br \/>\nRendering a Urban Search and Rescue Service by:<br \/>\na) Responding to all high angle, trench, confined Space, structural collapse and<br \/>\nswift water rescues.<br \/>\nb) Doing an evaluation of the situation in conjunction with the Company<br \/>\nCommander.<br \/>\nc) Execute tasks and activities as required<br \/>\nd) Ensure scene safety of all incidents<br \/>\ne) Execution of tasks according to the set SOP\u2019s and SOG\u2019s<br \/>\nRendering of Emergency Medical Services by:<br \/>\na) Responding to emergency medical incident as requested<br \/>\nb) Stabilizing and treatment of patients according to protocol in absence of<br \/>\nmedical\/ambulance personnel.<br \/>\nc) Ensure scene safety of all incidents<br \/>\nd) Execution of tasks according to the set SOP\u2019s and SOG\u2019s<br \/>\nLeadership<br \/>\na) The person with the adequate experience will be used as a leader of a sector<br \/>\nb) Must be able to keep a group together<br \/>\nc) Notwithstanding the above, the execution of daily tasks as delegated by the<br \/>\nsupervisory officer<\/p>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"3h51k\" data-offset-key=\"9bt3-0-0\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"bked8-0-0\"><\/div>\n<div data-offset-key=\"bked8-0-0\">\n<p>SAP: S70017886;
