Applications are invited for nurse training for the year 2024 Diploma in Nursing (general, psychiatric, community) and midwifery. The training will take place over a period of \u00a04 years. (Ref. No. 1\/2024)<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Minimum Requirements (PRE 2020<\/strong>)<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  • Grade 12 (Std 10) \u2013 Minimum 25 points<\/li>\n
  • English: Minimum symbol \u201cE\u201d Higher grade or \u201cD\u201d Standard Grade<\/li>\n
  • Biology or any other natural science subject \u201cE\u201d Higher Grade or \u201cD\u201d Standard Grade<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n

    • A \u2013 HG = 8 & SG = 5<\/li>\n
    • B \u2013 HG = 7 & SG = 4<\/li>\n

    • E \u2013 HG = 4 & SG = 1<\/li>\n

      Minimum Requirements (From 2008)<\/strong><\/p>\n

      • National Senior Certificate: Degree\/Diploma<\/li>\n
      • Minimum: 25 points<\/li>\n
      • English L4<\/li>\n
      • Additional language<\/li>\n
      • Life Orientation L4;<\/li>\n
      • Maths L3 \/Maths Literacy L4;<\/li>\n
      • Life Sciences\/ Physical Science L3<\/li>\n
      • And any other 2 subjects<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        NB Life orientation (LO) will not be scored<\/p>\n

        The points will be calculated as follows:<\/p>\n

        Level Ratings<\/p>\n

        7 \u2013 80% \u2013 89% (7 Points)
        \n6 \u2013 70% \u2013 79% (6 Points)
        \n5 \u2013 60% \u2013 69% (5 Points)
        \n4 \u2013 50% \u2013 59% (4 Points)
        \n3 \u2013 40% \u2013 49% (3 Points)
        \n2 \u2013 30% \u2013 39% (2 Points)
        \n1 \u2013 0% \u2013 29% (1 Point)
        \nApplicants who got between 90% \u2013 100% will score 8 points under the adjusted KZNCS APM Calculation<\/p>\n
