PURPOSE The ARTISAN RIGGING is accountable for providing specific rigging services and support to safely move specified heavy equipment as well as provide rope maintenance for winders, chairlifts and other rope and pulley operated equipment in the assigned operational areaMINIMUM ROLE REQUIREMENTS NQF 4 (National Senior Certificate or Grade 12 or Adult Senior Certificate) with English literacy or N2 in engineering studies. Completed formal Learnership programme prior to obtaining a rigger artisan trade certificate as recognised by the MQA. Valid Mobile-/ Overhead Crane and Fork Lift driving certificate will be an advantage. At least 3 years’ experience as a Rigger Artisan / Aide / Apprentice within a plant environment. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS SHEC: Adherence to safe work procedures. Rigging and Cable / Pulley Maintenance: Adhere to heavy equipment lifting, positioning and movement standards and specifications.
