Full job description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef/Cook to join a discerning household in Durban. This full-time position involves catering to a family who values healthy, high-quality Halaal cuisine.
The role requires a flexible individual, as it involves travel. The successful candidate will also assist with the family’s travel arrangements, booking international flights and accommodation, making experience as a seasoned traveler highly beneficial.
We are looking for a professional and discreet individual who is comfortable working within a private home environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and prepare daily Halaal Meals according to the household’s requirements
Ensure hygiene and kitchen/home cleanliness at all times
Purchase halaal quality ingredients and manage kitchen supplies
Adapt to the family’s changing schedule and household preferences.
Understand the client’s needs, provide accurate travel options, coordinate transportation and arrange an excellent travel experience.
Requirements:
Due to the nature of the role, this would suit a female.
Proven Experience as a Private Chef/Cook in a private residence.
Formal culinary training
Excellent Organization and Communication skills
Proven experience booking travel, creating and managing complex itineraries, travel trends, industry knowledge and handling changes and cancellations.
Flexible to work weekends and public holidays.
