- Create and implement a publicity plan for all Dance Groups, Musicians and Solos as well as the Company performances during the season.
- Develop and maintain relations with local, national and international media
- Research and write all media releases, press materials, press kits for Company and all artists.
- Identify opportunities and generate ideas for media coverage, and pitch ideas to appropriate media outlets for all our Artists Plan and implement all media conferences and media events.
- Research and write content for the Company and websites and Blog sites.
- Research and write the quarterly Company e-newsletter and all artists Profession Division newsletters.
- With assistance of other Marketing staff, coordinate the annual photo call for Company and all artists.
- Write and update all biographies for Company members, artistic staff and selected senior staff members.
- Research and write repertoire sheets for the Company production
- Arrange pre-show chats, meet-the-dancers and all other lobby activities for home and tour performances with assistance of other Marketing staff,
- Arrange community events and promotional activities in connection with performances at home and on tour.
- Arrange ticket giveaways in conjunction with contract publicists in tour locations; create a publicity plan for each tour.
- Serve as contact for regional/local publicists for all publicity activities on tour
- Other duties as assigned by Senior Director of Marketing and Development and, occasionally, by Executive Director or Artistic Director.
- The position requires daily close teamwork with other members of Marketing and Frequently with members of Development, Artistic, Administration and Production
- The position is supported by the Marketing intern(s), who can be directed as required having consideration to priorities within the Department. The maintenance of confidentiality
- concerning K & J Star Entertainment’s affairs and the highest level of professionalism are required.
