Gijima is recruiting 1 x Travel Agent Intern for their offices in Midrand. Candidate must live in Gauteng (preferably near to Midrand)
The criteria is as follows:-
- Candidates must be in possession of a Travel or Tourism qualification (i.e. national diploma or diploma) – completed
- Candidates must be computer literate and must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, e-mail, internet
- Candidates must have knowledge of Armedeus and Protas
- Clear credit (ITC) and no criminal record;
- Candidates must currently be unemployed;
- Candidates must not be participating on another learnership or internship program;
- Candidates must live in Gauteng (preferably in the Midrand area) – relocation is NOT an option;
- Candidates must be under the age of 35 as at 1 July 2023;
- Candidates must be a South African Citizen;
Competencies/Skills Required:-
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
- Excellent attention to detail
- Well organised
Responsibilities/Duties:-
- Advising clients on travel destinations, transportation options, and accommodations based on their preferences, budget, and needs.
- Booking flights, hotels, rental cars, and other travel-related services on behalf of clients.
- Providing travel insurance options and advising clients on travel safety and health precautions.
- Handling travel-related documents such as passports, visas, and other necessary paperwork.
- Creating travel itineraries and providing travel guides and maps to clients.
- Resolving any travel-related issues or emergencies that may arise during the trip.
- Communicating with clients to determine their travel preferences and needs and making recommendations based on those preferences.
- Handling administrative tasks, such as processing payments, issuing tickets, and preparing travel documents.
- Maintaining client files and keeping track of their travel arrangements.
- Responding to client inquiries and resolving any issues that arise during the booking process or during travel.
- Keeping up-to-date with industry trends, travel products, and services.
