ENGINEER: ROADS AND STORM WATER DESIGN WITH NATIONAL DIPLOMA IN CIVIL ENGINEERING

Position:Engineer: Roads and Storm Water DesignDepartment:  Roads and Stormwater
Division:Implementation
Salary:R425 280 – R583 440 per annum (plus benefits)

Minimum Requirements:

  • National Diploma in Civil Engineering
  • 1-3 years’ experience in a similar environment

Preferred Requirements:

  • ND in Civil Engineering and Professionally  Registered as an Engineering Technician
  • 3 years’ experience in a similar environment

Core Responsibilities:

  • Assist in evaluating designs for the department and private developers for the implementation of the Roads & Stormwater Infrastructure
  • Ensure Compliance with design specifications and accepted EMM, SABS and National Traffic standards
  • Site inspections and attendance of site meetings
  • Assist is facilitating of the wayleave process
  • Assist in other ad hoc designs
  • Plan tasks, delegate and issue instructions
  • Handle correspondence
  • Supervise and manage sub-ordinates
  • Identify and co-ordinate the training needs of sub-ordinates
