Matric (NQF4)
Minimum Samtrac qualification
Incident Investigation, Internal Auditing in accordance to OHS Reg’s,
Occupational Hygiene in F&B, Casino & Hotel Industry an advantage
Must be computer literate
Must be able to train others
At least 5 years’ experience as a Health & Safety Officer
Responsibilities include:
Ensure that staff and tenants are aware of and operate in strict adherence to fire safety procedures, COIDA and the Occupational Health and Safety Act
Closely monitor the property’s security and evacuation readiness
Checking adherence to local government & insurance, SLA requirements (specifically linked to OHSA)
Coordinate regular inspections of out-sourced operations
Investigate and resolve tenant and customer OHSA breaches
Ensure that property projects are managed in strict compliance with OHSA requirements
Liaise with local authorities (SAP, Metro Police, Health and Labour Department) where required
